Buying land in Malibu w/ an Airstream or a House on Wheels?

Hello BiggerPockets,

I came across this AirBnB listing for a Airstream in Malibu, and there are 44 other "Camper"  rentals in the same general area:

My question is, can I buy a piece of land and put an Airstream/RV/House on wheels on the property? Or is the listing above technically illegal? I have a dream of buying some nice ocean view land and putting something like this on there:

What would a realistic time frame be to get the permits from the Malibu Coastal Commission? 2-3 years?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Guys. Any update on this? I am also interested in this model as well as other unique Airbnb property models. Airstreams, Tiny Homes, Shipping Containers, Treehouses, and so forth.
