Hi all, I have an appointment set with David R Nachman next week to discuss wholesaling, go over my contract and assignment process and discuss the next steps as I move into multi family. Does anyone have any experience with him or any suggestions why I should or shouldn't use him? Thanks in advance!

I have the same question. I have a meeting with one set for next week because I wanted to understand the laws and get a better understanding of the contract assignment process.

Hey Ron, welcome! I wish I had found this site when I was 18! Your best place to start is to google "San Diego real estate investment group"... Go attend a meeting and introduce yourself just like you did here. That way people in your market can help you get started. Good luck and I hope that helps!

Great post and congrats! I sent out my first round of mailers this week so hopefully I end up where you are soon! How much was your first visit to the RE attorney and have you been back? Would you be willing to post an example of one of your postcards? Please keep us updated!!

Thank you Sue!  I'm going to look into the local bar.  I can always follow up with the more expense  attorney later if the bar doesn't work out!

Thanks Erik!

Do any of you have any info on RE Attorney rates?  I scheduled a meeting with one locally and was quoted $250 an hour.  I will gladly pay a fair rate to limit my chances of running into future problems but I don't want to be taken to the cleaners and later find out i could have gotten a better price.

Hi all,

I'm an upcoming Investor in the KCMO market. I wanted to know exactly what I was getting myself into so I set an appointment with a RE Attorney in KC. The going rate is $250/hr and I figured the first meeting would take about an hour to to get my questions answered about the wholesaling process, starting an LLC and my ideas on how I'm hoping to fund my multifamily investments in the next year. Is $250/hr a good rate? I'll gladly pay a fair rate to limit my chances of running into bigger problems later on but I don't want to be taken to the cleaners due to ignorance just starting out. Thanks in advance for any input you may have!

@Frankie Lowe   here is the link: http://www.biggerpockets.com/renewsblog/2013/06/01... I also see that you're local so don't snatch up all the wholesale deals! :) We should catch a cup of coffee or meet up at one of the local REI meetings. I'd love to meet more people in KC into RE Investing and specifically wholesaling!

@Gerald Thompson

 I'm definitely interested in joining both MAREI and KCIG.   It looks like I just missed both monthly meetings so I will probably join next month.  I went ahead and built a page with Wix and now working at learning how to drive traffic to the site.  I should probably start by linking it to my Bigger Pockets profile!

@Joseph Molander

  Thanks for the info!  I will definitely check them out.  If you remember the vendor that you used will you send me their info via PM?
