Hi All,

What are different ways you've structured a partnership or JV in your real estate deals? I have a good friend and co-worker that wants to join me on me REI journey. I expect we'll have some killer wins and devastating losses and I want to make sure our friendship stays in tact through it all. What are some ways to cover my bases and set expectations that have worked for you all in your businesses? Thanks in advance!

Thank you for the suggestion! I feel like I’ve looked through hundreds of CPA’s over the last couple of days. How did you end up working with someone out of state? Do you have business in NC as well or is all correspondence done by phone, email etc?

Hi all, Does anyone have a good Tax strategist/CPA in the Kansas City area that they can recommend? Not just someone to file my returns, but who can give advice and help me develop a game plan for lowering taxes in my employment income and real estate investment income? I was leaning toward Strategic Tax Partner in Gladstone, but a few poor reviews make me hesitant. Thank you in advance! Sidney King

Thanks Erin! They seem reasonably priced and have a long history in Mobile so I think that's who we are going to go with. I'll ask if they do any kind of referral fee and put your name out there if that's okay with you.

Has anyone used Robert's Brothers? I have a home in Semmes that I need to rent out. Does anyone have any recommendations?

My letters to absentee owners went out on the 15th but no calls yet. I'll get it more time but I'm also going to hop on whitepages.com and try to get the seller's phone numbers. Hopefully cold calling them won't be too creepy but I'll just let them know that I sent them a letter and see if they've received it.
