Curious about how to succesfully manage construction / rehab projects of rental properties? Worried about how to keep work within cost and on schedule?

As local apartment investors, we've completed dozens of rehabs, and worked with numerous contractors, handymen, and other professionals. We'll share our insights on how to best manage a rehab, select the right team - and keep them on track.

Please bring all of your questions. You'll also have a chance to meet fellow real estate investors and professionals. Please also note that to support the venue, we request you order food or a beverage.

Below is the schedule:

9:30 AM to 10:00 AM: Arrive, order breakfast, networking
10 to 1045: Presentation on rehab + Q&A
1045 to 1130: Networking

Hi Kira, I see your location coming up as Los Angeles but also Kansas? If the property is here in LA, I have a great agent who handles my rentals, and know another at State Farm who does it for our syndication group. Both have top notch options.

Pretty sure that my eventual departure from this earth will make it tough to continue investing after. In all seriousness, not much would make me stop. Strategies etc may change, but being an investor is fun and profitable. No plans to stop.

In April, the LME Investments team closed on 18 apartment units (across 3 properties) right here in Los Angeles. We were able to purchase these properties at under market prices and with lots of upside. We'll talk about how we did it - and how you can too!

Just as importantly, we're seeing many changes in the multifamily real estate investing landscape. Interest rates are rising, inflation remains high, and economic and political uncertainty continues. We'll walk about where we see things headed, and what we think those changes mean.

We'll be meeting at the Great Room Cafe in Redondo Beach. We ask that you support our hosts by making a food or beverage purchase.

Agenda:

930 to 945 AM: Sign In & Order Food
945 to 10 AM: Pre-meeting networking
10 to 1030 AM: How we closed on 18 apartment units in LA this month (and how you can as well)
1030 AM to 11 AM: Where the real estate market is headed: Interest rate increases, inflation and more
11AM to 1130 AM: Networking / Connect With Fellow Investors

We look forward to seeing you on Saturday!

Come hang out with fellow real estate investors and professionals in a relaxed, welcoming setting! We'll be meeting up at Strand Brewing Company in Torrance on Thursday, March 17th from 5:30 PM to 8 PM. Strand is a wonderful local brewery with lots of space.

Whether you've worked in / invested in real estate for years, or are just starting out, this will be a great opportunity to learn and connect. We ask you to support our venue, by purchasing a beverage. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Hey Alex, I invest locally in LA. Do the house hack. A few reasons why:

1. Turn key properties out of state have had most of the value add stripped from them. You're usually overpaying. I see these and many are not great investments.

2. Owning your own place and house hacking lets you start building equity, getting experienced with managing a property, and save on living expenses.

Patrick, I'm a local landlord and we have done buyouts before, and know people who negotiate these. The moratoriums will come to an end soon enough given court review, but it makes sense to try to deal with it before. Please feel free to DM me and will share the folks I know.

Hey Mel. Been a while. Negotiating with the tenants might be your best bet. I have a few folks I know who help with this professionally. One of them we've worked with fairly extensively, both are solid. Feel free to DM me and happy to share their information.
