Hello everyone, first post. Looking into either house hacking in Los Angeles or turn key out of state real estate investing. Any opinions or advice? Looking to also make some connections in general.

Hey Alex, I invest locally in LA. Do the house hack. A few reasons why:

1. Turn key properties out of state have had most of the value add stripped from them. You're usually overpaying. I see these and many are not great investments.

2. Owning your own place and house hacking lets you start building equity, getting experienced with managing a property, and save on living expenses.
