It seems the problem here is that you are agreeing to do or not do something after you close. Are you signing a valid contract with Wells or BofA? Yes. Are you breaking that contract by flipping it after the A-B transaction? If the verbiage of the contract specifically states the you can't do that then yes you are. Are the banks going to come after you later? I don't know - if I had a crystal ball and could see the future, I'd be sitting on my island somewhere.

So to reiterate Will, no the banks can't tell me what to do with my shortsale after I close with them. But then again they don't have to approve it in the first place either.

I would add control to this list. If I own a house, there are plenty of things I could do that would directly influence the value. I could paint, add a room, landscape, etc. If I own a stock, I'm completely at the mercy of the market as to what the value is.

How long do these usually take? I signed up on Google's waiting list a few weeks ago and still have not heard anything.

This thread is almost a year old and the OP isn't active anymore, but the advice is still great and relevant.

I would also add that even though most poeple shouldn't actually purchase anything from the gurus, the free webinars are still a good resource to learn from. Most of the webinars give little tidbits and great advice. You will learn some terminology and get a basic idea of what they are selling. Just remember that it is ultimately a giant sales pitch.

Sam it looks like that link is for Orange County, North Carolina. That makes three Orange Counties that I know of - CA, FL, and now NC.
