I am deciding about starting to invest in syndications, does anyone have resources that discuss the depreciation benefits? My primary goal in investing in real estate is to lower my taxes.

@Darius Ogloza How much stock though? That s what I m struggling with.

@Joe Villeneuve I’ll be finding properties, legal, financing, and he’ll oversee contractors and the rehabs. Its hard to say but I imagine he would be putting in more time. I get the sentiment that I am putting up the money so they are an employee, but I wouldn’t/couldn’t do it without them. I have no knowledge of home rehabs lr the local connections.

I live in California and want to partner with my family in the midwest. My cousin is a typical blue collar farm guy. I am able to bring the capital and finance skills, he’s able to oversee contractors for rehab or do most of the work himself. He won’t be putting any capital into the business and we ll be putting in equal hours.

How would you split the equity in the business?

@David Moore @Daniel Godbout Hi, I was wondering if you could share any updates. How are things going with your family "assisting" you. I am thinking about the same thing investing from out of state and using family to for anything i would need to be onsite.

I am a CA investor and would like to set up an LLC in Texas. Happy to meet in San Antonio or Austin.

What your min cash on cash and 1% ratio requirement for investing in property?

Post: San Antonio Ideal Rent Range

I am a out of state investor that is considering investing in central Texas. My ideal would be to have rent be roughly $2,500 a month or $2,000 a month. This is attainable in California because the housing prices are so astronomical that people that can afford that $2k a month cab’t afford to purchase.

My question, with homes ranging from $200-300k am I likely to find a market for renters paying $2-3,000 a month in San Antonio, New Braunfels, or Austin?

Should I focus on funding property that rents for $1,000 a month instead?
