MN Property Manager Requirements

Hi, what would be the requirements if I wanted to have my father (non-owner) manage a property (SFR) for me in MN? Real estate license, background check, other? I went through the tenant/landlord handbook a little while back, but I don't recall it specifically addressing that.

Thanks guys! I emailed the Minnesota Department of Commerce and they pretty much said yes, he would need to be licensed as a broker. I was asking with the assumption that I can at least manage the property myself, but based on the documentation they provided it seems like not if I don't have a broker license myself... So I have a couple clarifying questions out to them. I can always hire property management for these, but there aren't any really good ones in the area that I'm investing in. If this is the case, it's a bummer. Getting your brokers license is definitely not worth it if you're only doing small scale property management with it.
