Good to know. Honestly, I am just beginning to learn about it and I had envisioned having to do as much of the work as possible myself and I don't have the desire to do that... Since this is not the case I can continue to consider it an option for me! Thx

Thanks Ann, good to know. I don't mind being hands-on, I just don't have a desire to spend my nights painting or laying carpet. I would definitely enjoy learning about and observing the process and making sure everything is on budget.

Is it common for succesful rehabbers and or flippers to hire a general contractor to get all the work done? Or is it too difficult to profit this way? I am an appraiser and think my strengths are in analysis, financing, and the business end but no experience in construction mgmt.

Hello, I am a commercial real estate appraiser with 5 years experience. Slowly getting the hang of it and now I want put together a strategy for my first real estate investment. Mostly just looking for information at this point. I see this is a great place to start.
