@Bill S. What did you do before you went full time in Real Estate? Looking back on it do you think there would have been a way for you to quit your full time job sooner?

Some refer to it as "FIRING THE BOSS", others refer to it as "BURNING THE BOAT". How long did it take you to quit your day job and start investing full time?

I am a Young Architect who has designed Division I College football stadiums, higher education buildings and publication schools. I discovered REI about 3 months ago and I am working on acquiring my first property. Lots of direct mailing!

@Amil D. I think you need to identify one or two 'niches' that you are interested in. Duplex, triplex or quadplex? Or do you want to get into commercial work which is 5 units or more? Are you going to live in one of the units? Do you want to have easy access to the property? Something in your local area? Are you going to hire a property management company?

My suggestion - set your criteria, define your goals and do not tie up all of your cash in one property.
