@Erica M Chambers Looks like we have the same goals. I'm also looking to fund my retirement, and have financial freedom.

Roxborough is a great area! Hopefully you can find a property at a good price there.

I'll be at the DIG meeting on Thursday night in Ambler. Looking forward to it.

I can't recommend anyone specifically, but maybe you can try a site like Homeradvisor.com? Or something similar.

Fishtown and Northern Liberties are super hot. You might not see many, if any, deals in Northern Liberties.

@Nicole A. "How did the tenants get 2 months behind?" It's easy. They could have been long term tenants and promised to pay. I knew of someone who rented for about 6-7 years, at the same residence, that fell on some hard times. The landlord let them slip by for 6 months before they finally agreed it would be best to move out if they couldn't pay. They had every intention of paying, just had a run of bad luck with work and money.

Welcome! A lot of good resources on this site. Check out the webinars and podcasts. Good information from regular people who are new and seasoned investors.

I like the multi family investment strategy also.
