@Jeremy Wehrly good plan. We live in Vancouver and are looking to do the same thing. We have a rental in Astoria with a couple of business partners. We really want a duplex or more.

@Neal Collins there is a huge market for long term rentals. I know of people that have had to quit/turn down good jobs because they couldn't find housing.

@Alex Van Slyke we live in seaside and have one investment property in Astoria and are looking into the option to turn our primary residence into a short term/vacation rental. Which property management company do you work for? Welcome to BP. There is so much information from the group. I was hoping to find more people in seaside/Astoria for a meet up.

Our accountant and attorney is not super savvy in real estate and I just want to make sure we are getting the best advice possible, especially for tax advice/strategies for the future.
