Andrew Wong College Park is very close to the airport here in Atlanta which is supposedly the busiest in the world. Also where Delta houses their employees for training and what not.

Just curious here. Anybody messed around with purchasing a property in the College Park area near the airport to accommodate Air BnB guests traveling to and from Atlanta? I imagine this could be a fairly lucrative deal. Anybody with any experience or insights here? Is there really any way to analyze potential Air BnB earnings besides just talking with current people doing this?

Thanks @Rob Drum! That's definitely something I'm considering. Also would love to buy a small multi family and live in one of the units. Just not a ton of those that I have found thus far in desirable parts of Atlanta. Who knows what the future holds.

Hi everyone. My name is Ryan Horne and I am new to the Bigger Pockets community. Just taking it all in currently and learning as much as I can. I am currently living in Smyrna/Vinings area of Atlanta. Over the last few weeks I have been gathering as much information as possible in hopes of one day becoming an investor.  I would like to purchase my first home before I start working on buying others. 

Currently I am interested in potentially moving into the real estate industry to work as a real estate analyst so that I can make connections, learn the business, and learn to evaluate real estate for good deals. I have my degree in finance but will obviously probably need to do some networking to get in the business. I look forward to meeting some of you all over time! Have a great week!

@Robert Gilstrap @Phil Earley @Ethan Atkinson @Julie Kern Thank you for all of your help. I have a lot of refining to do before this becomes an actuality. But the first thing I have to do is obtain a real estate license. Do you have any recommendations for where I should go to the education course? It will need to be an online service as I work full time currently. How difficult is the process and how long is expected to finish the 75 hour course?

The idea is to start in the Kennesaw area. A lot of what you are talking about are questions that I have. Essentially all I want to do is have agents in the area I can refer potential renters to. Basically agents would register through a website and potential renters would register with their needs and I would match the two up. I have no plans to actually show homes myself. I have no clue how lease contracts work and need to do some research on that. So for instance if I have a remax agent who wants to work with me, can they only show houses that are being sold/rented by other remax agents or is it a free for all? Are for sale/rent by owner homes exempt from paying agent fees? I assume the agent would have to negotiate their own fee which would open up a whole can of worms. This is all just an idea in my head at this point and I have not done enough research or know enough to get this off the ground yet or even know if it is a feasible business.

Have any of you guys gotten your real estate license through on online source? If so which would you recommend? Don't have time to attend an actual class setting and need the online option. Thanks in advance!
