Lots of interesting ideas. I highly suggest sitting down with your spouse and mapping out a plan that you both will stick to. You need to determine your risk profile (conservative moderate aggressive etc). Determine how much work you are wanting to create from your investment decisions. Diversification is your friend. Hey Vinny. What you are looking for is called a fee only advisor. Fee based advisors can still earn commissions and fees on products they sell. Fee only advisors sole income comes from their clients, no one else. Let me know if you have any other questions, happy to help.
