Welcome Blake,

I am a newbie investor also. One advantage you have is the opportunity to invest locally and I would suggest that you use that advantage. I would say that you could get in with a 15-20k cash starting point depending on the property class, location, and strategy of your investing, as long as you are financing. Just my newbie opinion. Good luck!

@Marlene Goldenberd I haven't personally invested with Pinnacle but I have spoken with @Mike D'Arrigo briefly and he seems like a straight shooter. Hi Emery,

With the gentrification that is taking place in west Oakland and additions coming to the uptown area did you consider holding the property for maybe a couple more years and taking a loan against it? Just wondering. I'm sure you made a handsome profit. Congrats and good luck!

Hi Michael,

I'm just a beginner myself. Have you checked the marketplace for deals. I seem to see a lot of opportunities in New Jersey. Also I would agree that the "riskier" areas can definitely be more profitable. Does the price range you are looking for match the area?

I'm currently thinking about making an offer on a property in Independence Missouri. I'm hoping I can get some info from locals/ investors/ professionals that are more familiar with the area than myself. Thanks in advance.
