That being said, if you are going to invest out-of-state, be very careful. I wrote an article on it a while back you might find helpful: https://www.biggerpockets.com/renewsblog/2014/12/23/investing-out-of-state-essential-items-to-vet/

Can you explain? A few people above you mentioned Kansas City was one of the best, and you say it sucks. Curious to know why the difference in opinion...

Which E-myth book? There seems to be around 15 different ones...

With that said "the real estate wholesaling bible", "the book on managing rental properties" (a BP book, "the millionaire real estate investor". I have also enjoyed "Go For No: yes is the destination", "think and grow rich" and "rich dads cash flow quadrant". I've purchased all of these on amazon for the audible app. All are fantastic and will get you motivated! Good luck feel free to reach out!

I'm mostly interested in SFR for a buy and hold strategy. Long term goals, not looking too much at short term. I'm not interested in wholesaling, would you still recommend that first book?

Thank you for the recommendations Chris!

Thanks Nick, I've actually stumbled across his 10x rule book a few times. Didn't bite the bullet though. Have you read it?

Awesome to know they are highly recommended. Added to "the list" lol

I did enjoy the no and low money down book by Brandon Turner. I will read the others on that list as well. I'm particularly interested in the duo of rental property books and the estimating rehab costs book.

Thanks Christopher!

Thank you Cary! I just purchased on Amazon. I'm definitely interested in personal growth books as well.

Hello BP, what are your book recommendations?

It doesn't have to be real estate if it's a really good book that will help out in some other way.

In the past couple months I've read "The book on investing in real estate with no and low money down", "Buy it, rent it, profit!", and of course "Rich dad, Poor Dad", but looking for more recommendations.  Edit: I have also read the Beginner's Guide to Real Estate Investing on BP!

Thanks!
