Hey guys. I was going to post a thread about what we do in our off time besides real estate.

I train and fight among other things. I only have 1 of my early fights on the internet. I have some more I need to convert over. Oh yeah and I know I was out of shape. I took the fight on 3 days in the winter time. WInter time is when lifters gain their weight.

Post some of your hobbies.

Yeah man. I would say do your homework. Keep your wife updated with whats going on. Learn more about the business so that you become more confident in that. If your wife loves you and wants to understand then over time it will. If she doesnt then she won't.

My girlfriend wouldn't even after year. .. . we arent together anymore lol.

I know personally what has helped my confidence is to put myself in situations that I would normally not want to be in. Obviously nothing dangerous. But situations that made me uncomfortable. I notice the more I did this the easier it become. Because in the back of my head I knew "i can do this".

The most nerve racking was when I started to make offers. Geez. I would make the offer and just expect the person to explode or something because it was low or because I was just nervous. I made my offers and got plenty of nos. Luckily no one was ever crazy.

Another thing you can do, and this may sound a bit silly an totally unrelated. Is pick up exercise and lifting. I know I am big into fitness, lifting, etc. I feel much better when I feel like I look "good" in front of people. Obviously it has nothing to do with REI. However if your physical appearance is one thing you are not comfortable with then changing it could boost your confidence in all facets of your life. Plus a measly 30-45 min workotu 3 times a week is plenty.

Not sure if any of my info help. But good luck to you!

Cool. i will remember that.

But of course all the crum bums want something for nothing. They tear up stuff and try to steal from those who worked hard to provide them with a decent home in the first place. But hey its ok. Thats what a good lawyer is for.

Idk much about your market.

I put a sign up in the yard. I put an add in craigslist, as well as this website that is kind of like myspace but is specific to my region. Then talked to the neighbors to see if they know anyone who might be interested.

I ended up renting it to guy who had a friend that lived on the block. I made it a point to schmooze with all the people around the house. The guy came down to the home one day and asked when it might be ready to rent. (i put the sign out there as soon as I moved in since I knew it wasnt an super extensive rehab) I asked him a few questions and he told me about a friend of his who was looking for a place. I told him to just come see me and fill out an application. The guys check came back fine and he looked like a kept together person so moved him in.

I know I got really lucky and in some cases it will be more difficult. But for my first time I simply put up a sign and different free internet listings, and made sure that I talked to the neighbors. Because if they know someone who would make a decent neighbor they would let me know (at least I assume), because who wants to live near a crum bum right? Rather live by someone you can trust.

Good luck to you!! Hope it works out everything works out well for you.
