Anyone employing this strategy?

Jack and Jill developed a new course called House Academy. Have any of you bought and finished it? What are your thoughts on it?

@Jared Ford - You can definitely do the BRRRR strategy with manufactured homes with land. There are more and more lenders willing to lend on them as long as they are considered real estate.

I would have some serious concerns about the construction quality as well as whether or not permits were pulled. There are very specific guidelines when it comes to what manufactured home roofs can withstand. Therefore, I'd want to be sure an engineer was involved in the process before.

@Jennifer Fields The park manager can't prevent you from the owner selling it to you and you selling it to another park owner. I have had several park managers tell me that and I have just ignored them.

I have seen lenders recently widening their lending requirements on manufactured homes with land. However, @Arlen Chou is spot on. You may want to call a bunch of banks to see if they would lend on it. This will help you make the decision.

@Jeremiah Belin You'll also want to ask yourself if you ever want to be able to sell this home to a retail buyer in the future. If so, many times with lenders, they place restrictions on lending on manufactured homes that have been moved more than once before it is placed on a plot of land.
