@Danelson Rosa thank you for the warm welcome! After being on this site and reading the forums and articles I decided to get my primary residence first which would ideally be a multiproperty and then invest with the buy and hold method from there. So I started searching for multiplex properties in NY and the prices are so overwhelming but understanble and understanding the market I can see where and how I could make my money back and more. What areas are you looking at to start in? I did a general search and found a could of triplex around the webster Ave east tremont area.  Would love to stay in touch I feel you wouldn't mind!

Wow this was such an informative post! I want to purchase a multiplex preferable a tri to quad use one for myself and the other for my mom, then rent out the other two. I already went to one bank for a preapproval and was told they do not lend to anything higher than duplex even with fha. So now I guess I'm looking for more options.

Anne N. I'm in the same exact predicament that you are in! @Michael Enriquez, @Felderi Santiago I saw that both of you said that y'all have invested in the Yonkers, Mt. Vernon area. Is there anyway we can connect so I could possibly pick your brains, please. I would love to purchase a 3-4 family home renovate it, use one as my personal home and rent out the others.

@Melissa Thevenin I personally often times feel that way myself as a newbie. However the more I read, watch videos, listen to podcasts, and browse the forums I'm feeling my independence grow and the fear subsiding. I did before I truly came to BP sign up for a paid mentoring program which offered a holding hand type deal. At first it seemed great but then I kept get these promotional emails to purchase something else from her. It seemed to gimmicky so I ended that and now just asking the questions I need to ask on here. Don't let anyone take advantage of your inexperience. You can do it!

Lol, that's really the only way I know how to introduce it! Thank you for the welcome! Do you have any literature to recommend that I read?
