@Richard Sherman maybe I was searching wrong but I didn’t see the NY lease on BP. Thanks for the advice in regards to the addendum though. I will definitely include it.

Hello all! I’m renting out a room in my house to someone I know and I’d like to know just how specific can I be in the lease. I’d really like to say no guess at all but if they are a paying tenant is that something that they should be able to have? I know I want to make it a month to month lease. I live in New York City. I tried googling it but only found the lease templates. Thanks for the help in advance!!

Hello all!! I’m just elated to share that I have finally listened to every episode of the BiggerPockets podcast! It took me some time to do but it was a goal to listen to all of them by October 2018 which I have accomplished the last week of September! Now I’m up to date and can continue on with the regularly scheduled releases. So far the most lifechanging episode for me was I think #5 on Estate building, preparing for the future. There were so many things that I didn’t know that was touched on like what exactly a trust is and the importance of one. It really got me to thinking about my legacy and legacy building. So this was my first actionable step on my journey to getting educated in real estate investing ad essentially buIldIn the foundatIon for making solid investments in the future. Next step is to become a Pro member and review the webinars as well as watching the videos on the YouTube channel. So thank you BP for producing such awesome shows that are packed full of digestable information!

My mom bought me this book when I was in high school! I have to agree with others that It introduced me to a new way of thinking somewhat shifting a paradigm for me. I still recommend It to people I know who are stuck in that rat race mentality. Now for someone who is already in an investor’s mind frame I’d probably wouldn’t immediately recommend this book.
