Ever use Angie's List or Home Advisor?

I'm new here and I would appreciate some advice.  Do any of you guys use Angie's List or Home Advisor to find contractors to work on your properties?  Pros and cons to doing so? I'm just noticing a lot of personal recommendations flying back and forth between members of this site, and I was just wondering if there was anything wrong, or something I should watch out for if I go the Home Advisor route to finding good people to do work on my multiplex.   Thanks in advance for the help.

I, also, did not care for Home Advisor, not realizing they charge the contractor a fee for each contact.  They were all calling me for appointments, but I had already ruled out most through my own research, was looking for more specific reviews, and did not realize clicking that tab would have that result.  I actually have very good success with the nextdoor app, local neighbors just talking about who they use if you ask them.  I can opt in to other nearby neighborhoods and find info for my nearby rental as well.
