Post: Abandoned property ?

I’ve been driving past a property in a well groomed, relatively safe neighborhood and noticed this single family home has boarded up windows and overgrown grass. It looks abandoned. When I looked up the owner on the Dept. of Assessment and Taxation website, the address of the “abandoned” home is listed.

Is there another way to try to contact the owner and determine if the property is indeed abandoned? There’s no for sale or auctions listed for this property either. The house was sold in 2012. Thanks.

@Tamarra M Richardson hey! Any updated recommendations regarding a business address service for your LLC? I'm in the same boat. Thx!

OMG! I'm so glad you revisited this topic. I just on Capital One's website based off of Liu's recommendation.

@Chris Seveney thank you. I just put in my request to connect with you regarding an attorney for business entity structuring. I am also seeking a real estate CPA. What I got from your post is I should consult with a CPA first to determine the best business entity for tax purposes and then consult with an attorney?

@Basit Siddiqi thank you. I will definitely consider a remote real estate CPA. I am still doing my research.

I live in Maryland & my husband and I need legal guidance on business entity structuring. We blindly created an LLC but need help in developing the business structure and determining if an LLC is appropriate for the type of business we want to run. We are interested in buy and hold properties ranging from single family homes to small apartments. Thank you for your help.

@Quiana Chandrasekar. I must be lucky. I’m looking at a property tomorrow and bringing a contractor. No charge.

I’m also in a unique situation as I have used this contractor with my W-2 job repeatedly. So we already have a great connection.

Wow! Very lucky. Securing a GC seems to be one of my biggest challenges in  securing my RE investment team.

@Reinaldo Lopez Will do. Thanks for the resource!
