I find it amazing that all these people were scammed by Morris Invest and there are no bad reviews on his YouTube Channel in the comments nor his Facebook ads. I could see him taking a few down, but we are talking hundreds of people affected by this. He can't possibly keep up with hundreds of bad reviews week in and week out. I would be blasting him every day.

Not a good experience.

DJan 2018 called Morris Invest and was told they don't accept finance. They did send me a few properties averaging 50k. End of February had about 50k cash and called again. I was shown the same kind of properties as two months ago, this time the price was higher about 40% averaging 65-70k.

Stating my concern that pricing was now increased and a decent cash refinance would out of the question,I was told that unfortunately the appraisal for their properties will be way lower than the sale price. Meaning I would pay 70K and would be appraised on 50K.

...well, they simply raised the prices within two months. But that's business, I accept that.

What I cannot accept is the following....

his reasoning was "all the knowledgeable appraisers have been retired ..... in the area, and the new ones under appraise properties!". Come on now..!

I didn't care for the irrational excuse, I asked for a copy of their standard contract. I wanted to have an idea about the contract since I 've been told that who ever signs a contract for an available property first is the one to gets it; week after week I am still waiting, two months.

Further more, the conversation I had seemed to provide no assurance that the property after renovation would actually be free of needed repairs.

In conclusion, I am disappointed. Clayton Morris image (on you tube) portraits professionalism, ethics, structure, and attention to detail but my personal experience does not come even close to these qualities. I just don't get it.

Do yourself a favor and stay far away from Morris Invest.  Read all the negative posts and nightmares that people who have bought from him are having.

In over his head is an understatement. This guy knows damn well that what he is selling is not what people are getting. If he has good intentions he would stop selling the crap homes and change property managers. He just keeps finding the newbie investors, taking their money and leaving them hanging out to dry with oceanpointe.  The same stories keep resurfacing every couple weeks with a new investor getting scammed.

He is nothing but a scammer!!

@Jay Hinrichs  How long has Morris Invest been around? I think it is worth noting that TK companies that have been around for 10 years plus have been around because they do things the right way.

Just a few years, if that.  I don't think he will be around much longer.

I can't even begin to describe how many crimes are being committed here. It is so sad that hard working people are getting conned out of there money. Has anyone looked into a class action suite?

There have been many posts on BP on the shady business dealings between MI and Oceanpointe.  I would stay far away from both companies no matter where they operate.  Just do a google search on Oceanpointe and see for yourself of the terrible reviews.  Here is one...

You don't need to pay a lawyer a couple thousand to set up an LLC and operating agreement. If all you want is the basic LLC for protection there is a guy on Fivver.com named Michael Sue that will draw up all the paperwork for you and email it to you. His fee is $5 or $10. All you have to do is mail it to the state with the fees and your done. Less than $300 including the fees. Hope that helps!!
