I just bought a duplex in April in St. Louis. I bought in the south Hampton neighborhood. Let me know if you have any questions. I used toyin obduwole as my agent. Super awesome for investment and first time buyer. He really steered us in the right direction and gave us sound advice. Worked really hard to find what we wanted.

New to investing. Currently have property in South Hampton and am looking to expand. I was curious if anyone has any insight into the soulard/downtown area of St. Louis? Looking at properties for sale, it seems most properties have been sitting on the market for months or even years. I know the stigmas of downtown, but I haven't seen stuff sit like this. Seeing anyone has insight before taking any steps towards buying a rental in that area.

@Paul R.

Hey Paul,

I've been taking the same route as you. Bought my first duplex in South Hampton back in April and have been house hacking my way through it. I'm by no means a expert, but if you have any questions about the first time proccess, I'd be glad to answer any questions!

Relatively new investor here with one duplex under my belt. I am interested gaining experience by finding a successful investor who could use a hand growing their business and portfolio. Interested in multifamily deals or commercial real estate. Does anyone have good advice or a connection to make this happen? Currently located in the South City, St. Louis, MO.

@Aaron Schump

Not an architect. But in the exact spot. Living in one side of a duplex, looking for the next purchase.

@Ryan Ulrich

Just closed on my first duplex in South City back in April. Congrats! I'm no expert, but if you have any questions or want to run something by another set of ears, let me know! Congrats!

South City is a great spot. Between Webster and Tower Grove offers an area that is safe, has cashflow, and has room to add value to your properties without worrying about over out pricing yourself. Lindenwood Park, South Hampton, North Hampton and the Hill.
