Kenneth,

First, I'd like to say congrats on getting in the game! Real estate is the reason I have been able to reach my goals.

If I have any advice it would be: knowledge is power, always be positive, set goals ( big ones and small ones, it motivates you when you start checking things off that list ).

Blessings!

I buy and sale wholesale sfh. Rehab/resale. I have multiple exit strategies depending on the if I'd like to keep for cash flow or turn my investment. I will also take down wholesale deals and and sale to private investors. I would like to develope a strong working relationship with a few other investors.

Hello BP,

I wanted to reach out and introduce myself. My name is Matthew Paetz; I'm an investor in Indianapolis. I am currently trying to build my network so I was interested in knowing a little more about what you all do? Also, interested in knowing if you're currently looking for anything to help you reach your real estate goals?

Blessings,

Matthew Paetz

Short update: I first wanted to thank everyone for your advice.

I have found in the past few months the best and quickest way that I have gained respect with other investors has been standing on the shoulders of individuals who already have the reputation you desire.

I have been very fortunate to have the individuals I do coaching me through the details.

Don,

Thank you for your post. I believe that I'm going to invest in an attorney. I'd rather do it right then take the chance of misunderstanding.

Do you know much about SCOR ( small companies offering registration )? Is this an easier way to deal with securities laws?

Any advice on how to advertise RE deals without raising red flags with SEC regulators?

I appreciate the response gentleman.

I am most interested in knowing if there are any other BP members in my area who have had any dealings with this certain individual.

I am most interested in knowing how he conducted himself and if the deal was on the up and up. I am very aware of this individuals "habits" and would like to know if there are more who have first hand knowledge of this.

I would like to go on the record and say that this is in no way a personal opinion or me trying to slander someone in any way. I am most interested in protecting someone or anyone else who might run across this individual or someone like this.

Also, what are the best ways for the average person to check up on someone? More places than linkedin?

Are there any written or unwritten rules about asking fellow BP members about someones reputation? I don't want to cross any lines by using names, but I do have an issue with how I have found some people doing business and would like to know if anyone else has had a similar experience?

Don,

I completely understand what you're saying. Let me ask you this. On those occasions that a newbie has an actualy deal in place and has done all the proper leg work, would you have any advice for that type of situation?
