I live in Grayslake, IL, just North of Chicago. Fairly new to Real Estate investing but am looking to start this journey in 2014, and leaning towards starting with a Buy & Hold plan. I'm working on my REI education right now, and have to say Thank you to everyone who shares their thoughts and experiences on these threads and podcasts, incredibly insightful.

I completed my first rehab this year of my girlfriends house that we just put up for sale, and purchased my own home as a foreclosure a few years back, so I've had some related experiences.

Would definitely be interested in meeting with others in this area to expand our networks. As mentioned I have very strong remodel and handyman skills, I am also in the profession of Lean process/operational excellence, and would be willing to help anyone in these areas with demo work, finishing work or anything, in exchange for sharing your experiences and suggestions.
