@Angelica Polio Hi Angelica, the home prices compared from 2015 to now have gone up considerably in the areas you’ve mentioned.

Your best bet would be to find a home that needs a little bit more work and has been sitting on the market a little bit longer (over 3 weeks). Otherwise, you’ll be competing with many active buyers.

Or you can find something off market where there is far less competition! Hope this helps!

@Susana Minaya

Highly recommend @Anastasia G. as an interview for your lender. I have worked with her personally on a couple of my deals and she is informative, dedicated and helpful! Let me know if you’d like me to make an intro!

@Briana Gilbert

Hi Briana,

You’ll find out that multi family investing in NJ is not easy especially in the northern parts. The higher price points high property taxes and extremely high demand make it tough to find a good deal.

If you’re open to forcing equity or renovating, then the numbers might make sense at the end. It really depends on how much rehab is needed.

PM me if you have any questions about the multifamily homes in north NJ. Would be happy to help!

@David Seaman

Hi David, I’m not sure which city you are in but check out meetup.com and look into some Real estate investing associations nearby. This is how I started networking with local investors, agents, lenders and contractors around the area.

Hi Gary,

Secaucus is a wonderful community! Born and raised here, only problem is prices are very high now. The rent is also high as well. Many of the homes that are on the market right now do not have room for investors to really make money. If you have any specific questions about the community feel free to contact me!
