@Dana Sarcona if you’re still looking areas like Secaucus (besides the North End flood zone areas) Rutherford, Lyndhurst and Carlstadt all have good schools, safe neighborhoods with easily accessible public trans to NYC. Also the big mall (The American Dream) is set to open this coming year. Great areas for investment.

@Viet Hoang shop around some more! Ask for references as well. If you’d like my father is also a GC working in the Jersey City heights area. We recently finished on two projects, 57 south street and 289 Webster ave. Looking forward to hearing from you!

@Levi Klein great work!

Hey Andrew, as an agent, let me know how I can help you. I am willing to work with investors to help accomplish their goals. I am also around these areas daily and working as a construction manager in Jersey CIty/Weehawkin/Secaucus area, so if you need a GC, I can help with that as well.

@CHRIS SIBERRY hey Chris where in NJ are you located? For a home to only have 10k in reno and then be assessed for 100k more is impressive.

Good luck to you in the future, I am in a similar boat as you!

@Courtney Lea Klein hey Courtney, I too am a new agent. It’s important that you try and find a mentor to learn the ropes of the business. Many newer agents are left in the dark after getting their license and that’s why many fail. BE PERSISTENT sand BE PATIENT! I still havnt done any real estate deals after a month in the biz but I know with hustle and the eager to learn everyday that the time will come.

See if there’s any real estate investor meetups around your way too and try to network as much as possible. Hope this helps. Good luck to you!

@Jessica Zolotorofe the heights in jersey city is definitely HOT. We’re working with multiple investors all within a 5 mile radius and they’re all fixing up old buildings, condo/rent them out and making a nice roi.

@Shane Boyle I’m looking for multi families as well, but good deals are tough to come by. I’m now looking for off market deals for better value.
