@Shawn Ackerman I came across this post as I was looking for advice on protecting myself from ID theft. Sounds like you're not a fan of the monitoring services. In your opinion, what is the best way to protect yourself against fraud and theft?

Thank you for the comments. Yes, I'm looking for a property to live in. I get the sense that an owner occupied 2-4 unit property might be the strongest real estate investment for me in the Bay Area, if I use an FHA loan and find the right property. Any thoughts?

Hi All,

I'm starting a search for a 2-4 unit property in Oakland, Ca in the general area along highway 13. Any suggestions on a starting point or initial contact?

Thanks!
