Post: Looking for partners in the Philadelphia area

Hello BP members,

I just moved to the Philadelphia area from Boston and am looking to build relationships in the area. I may be a "newbie" investor, but by no means am I new to real estate.

For the past 5 years I have worked full time in real estate investments and finance and have analyzed thousands of deals from $50k to $50 million. I did acquisitions for an investment firm in Boston where I successfully assisted the owner of the company in acquiring about $150 million in real estate.

I have a good real estate mind. What I don't have is capital. Please PM me if you would like to network and discuss potential business synergies.

Thanks

@Mike D'Arrigo I disagree. The best brokers spend their time brokering. If a broker is an investor he is going to keep the best deals for himself. There are plenty of investor friendly brokers out there who don't own any real estate. I don't think it is wise to limit who your contacts may become based on if they invest or not.

Salary is currently negotiable and could include a base salary and commission/ bonus opportunities.  This is more of an entry level role though.

The candidate will also be asked to complete tasks as a personal/executive assistant on an as-needed basis.

Hi Peter,

Thanks for reaching out.  Give me a call at 774-217-3971 to discuss.

Thanks again

Downtown Westborough, Massachusetts colonial 2 family house for sale.  Over 3100 square feet of living area on over .25 acres.  This house is steps to the bustling and historic town center.  Great commuter location near routes 9, 90 and 495.  40 minutes to Boston by car or train.  Plenty of parking.  Property is occupied.  349k is the asking price.

Its great.  I am learning a lot because I get to see a huge number of transactions on a weekly basis.  What company are you with?

Aaron,

Don't mind Leigh.  I don't think you should listen to anyone who is telling you that they have accomplished what you dream of by age 33.  Leigh is correct that you will have to do most of the learning on your own, though.  Most "mentors" are looking to get more out of you than they are willing to give.

I myself am a 23 year old licensed real estate agent in Boston.  Like you, I have yet to make my first real estate investment.  However, I have been working directly for a real estate investment group in Boston for almost 4 years where my job is to find and acquire investment properties and to support the operator of a $100 million portfolio.

My first piece of advice to you is to be patient.  Are you a full time agent?  I recommend you read this book to start: http://www.amazon.com/Investing-Apartment-Building...

by the way - SFR means single family residence and REIA means real estate investment association
