It is a section 8 housing. The house was a single family when i bought it. I put a door with a wall . Now it is a duplex.. The duplex is not permited.. i can always take the wall out and put the door back. So thats why i'm wondering.. if they come are they going to check for permits or just to see if hot cold water works, etc... health its all fine... does california section 8 check for permits or its completely different...(has nothing to do with permits)?

I am a landlord, a potentail renter is applying for government assistance to help pay for rent. As part of the help, they will inspect the house... when they come to inspect what are they looking for? Are they looking for permits? What exactly are they looking for?

i bought a house in dec... and i did 15k in renovation.. i did not use licensed contractors.. they are too expensive i used my family members to do it.. i am trying to get it refinance and appraised at 100k more

1. when they go through the appraisal process during the refi.. if i didnt use licensed contractors will they care? The house looks good.. and it is fine... there is nothing wrong with it.. will they ask for letters from licensed contractors or something?

2. also i added a wall to the house and i didnt get permits for it.. during appraisal process are they going to pull up all the permits in the house to see if the wall is suppose to be there or not?

When buying commercial property like apartment complexes.. do you just need downpayment and the property to cashflow well.. to get a loan? Do they look at your own dti? I want to buy an apartment complex.. i have 30k and can probably save up to 50k ... my dti would not cover the apartment can i still get the apartment?
