McFerran Law off S Tacoma Way and 56th St. I've used these guys before and they're very good.

Here's their website:

PM me and I'll give you a couple contacts for GC. I don't have any reputable property managers yet.

Post: Demo a house by donating it to Fire Department for training

I'm a firefighter in Wa and we occasionally get houses donated for training. Contact city of seattle fire dept, training division. More than likely, you'll have to do an asbestos check/abatement. You'll also have to get a permit. They will have all the details you need.

J Scott is right, the department won't haul off anything left over from the burn, but the good thing is, there won't be much left!

The department I work for will strip the home of roofing and certain other fixtures and arrange a dumpster to be hauled off as a way to decrease unnecessary smoke products.

Hopefully it works out Tatiana!

Fantastic Caroline!

I think that this is something that every single property owner in the state ought to sign. I cannot imagine having to deal with the situation these homeowners are faced with. Here's a link for those that missed the news: http://www.king5.com/search/squatters/

This applies to all of Washington State (Seattle, Tacoma, Everett, Spokane, Bellevue, Kent, Bellingham, Vancouver, Olympia, Bremerton, Yakima, Tri Cities, Montesano etc...)

Thanks for getting the ball rolling!

McFerran Law in SW Tacoma is a good outfit. I've consulted with them in the past and they were courteous and accommodating. They have several offices where they can meet you including Tacoma, Seattle, Kent, Everett and Silverdale.

I am not affiliated with them except as a current and former client.

Albert, I see it as particularly important in the off chance the lender chooses to exercise the due on sale clause. As long as payments have been made for over a year, an easier financing exit strategy still exists. I like it!
