@Scott Morris Hey man sounds sound! Be sure to hit us up as soon as you move down here. Where are you currently living?

@Daniel Hanson Volatility and speculative is very right, as are the opportunities for trading if you have the risk tolerance for it. At any moment, literally anything can happen. I have not heard about acting as a lending bank through Binance, that sounds very interesting. Where's downside/risk to that?

@Dylan Barnard I can agree to that to a certain degree, hence the double quotes, "invest". If you are mining your own crypto via mining hardware, you can get a daily/weekly/monthly yield if you convert your coin to fiat - electricity costs / conversion fees with the option to sell your hardware if you would so  choose. Strictly trading is another story, and is much more of a gamble on the current / future state of crypto.  And who doesn't like Chuck E. Cheese?

This is great, loving the feedback and energy already.

@Sarah Torres I knew you'd be in! In addition to the Delray and Miami meetups, a Broward meetup should be a nice complement and help fill in the area gap. Great ideas, and 100% on board with all of them, let's make this power group happen!

@Account Closed  I did wonder about using the BP name also, now I know! Was your group down here in Florida also? Will be great to start this up again along with you.

@Dakota Hall I wish I was introduced to this world while in college! It's great to see you're getting your license. I recommend trying to attend one of your local REIA meetups, one of the best ways to network and maybe find that local mentor you are looking for. There may also be a local meetup event hosted by a BP member that you could attend as well. (Click the Network

@Jonathan Taylor Welcome to BP!  I plan on moving out to SoCal at some point in the not too far future, would love to hear about your experiences starting out in that market. From one newby to another, good luck out there!

In addition to the REIAs and REIC meets we should all be going to, I was thinking of setting up a meet up for just us SoFlo Newbies. It's a good chance to meet more fellow BPers over some brews. We can share our newby experiences, trials, hardships, and successes and just make some new friends! We all know it can be intimidating out here as first timers, so what better way than to connect with a bunch of us on the same level! One thing I've learned so far, it's been extremely motivating meeting like-minded people with the same energy, drive, and passion.

I saw some interest in another Ft. Lauderdale meetup post, but I don't think it really panned out. So If anyone in this SoFlo area is interested, just comment below if you're interested, and even a good place to go if you have a suggestion. Invite your friends, family, pastor, dog, whoever. Let's just have a good relaxed time.

If we get any feedback, I'll set something up. Funky Buddah?

Welcome to BP @William Musto. I'm fairly new to the game as well. As I'm sure you've already learned in your 3 weeks here, there is a LOT of information. But BP does a great job at sorting out anything you need. Definitely check out the podcasts, great great stuff there, and I also find it very entertaining.

I'm sure your CPA experience will most definitely help out. Everyone could use a good CPA as part of their team!

I'm just curious how many other active REI also invest in cryptocurrencies? And if you do, what kind?

I am personally a fan of cryptocurrencies and what they are all about. I have put some money towards it, and will continue to do so, so I always get a laugh when I hear Brandon talk about bitcoin "investing" on the podcast! But I do understand where he is coming from as there really is no tangible asset to cryptocurrencies (or stocks for that matter) compared to REI in addition to it's long long standing history, research, and studies, etc.

That said, with what I now know and continue to learn about this fascinating and lucrative world of REI, majority of my investing will be here. But I'm still curious about everyone else.

Hey @Stefan Isenberg and everyone else here. If this SoFlo/Fort Lauderdale meetup happens, I'm in and would love to connect. Let's make something happen! I don't see any other events in the broward area, if anything we should definitely get one going.
