Right now it's the shoulder season so most places are only booked on weekends. That is expected with a 'drive to' destination like the Poconos. It's a great weekend getaway! I myself have a STR there and am starting to take on new properties for my new Concierge service. I have my team in place and it's a well oiled machine.  Have you tried turnoverbnb? Also facebook groups are a great place to look. Look for Pocono Owner Airbnb facebook groups and post that you are looking for those people. Also I'm starting a concierge service up there and looking to take on new clients soon. If you are interested, you can send me a DM :)

Not so affordable anymore ☹️ prices have sky rocket. A house that was maybe 180k is now 230-250k... It's crazy up there. And you have to be careful where you buy bc certain towns don't give STR permits to houses in residential zones. Some HOAs don't allow it either. I have one house there and always looking for more but it's been difficult due to bidding wars. The good ones are under contract in less than 24 hours. But if you can get one, it's a great market

@Ryan Brainard, I never answered your question haha. I self message. Have my team in the Poconos that takes care of the house. I visit once a quarter to make sure things are up to par. If you have a rental, I can help you run it if you are interested.

@Ryan Brainard, Mark always posts the doom and gloom. I don't know when anyone has flushed a shoe down a toilet...and all the septic repairs he talks about. Basically copy pastes the same thing on every post in this area. Plenty of hosts here that rent STRs. Yes there may be better areas to invest that have higher ROIs. But that doesn't mean that it's bad. Just food for thought
