Or are you saying I need to ask for more on my home? The only one I own is vacation rental in big Bear. I don't own a home in LA. I'm looking to.@mattr what do you think of townhome as opposed to a house?

No bad on LA? Do you live here? You want me to bid $100 to $200j more on a house or condo listed at 500k? Not sure the appraiser would go for that, nor would my bank account.

I'll make more money this year and can get a bigger loan next year. Which also throws into the mix. Trying to time things only drives you more nuts.

Exactly. Until we get an economic crash. And with  travel ban we are seeing money coming in to America coming down, I think houses will keep going up. The trick in LA. Find the next gentrification. (highland park, eagle rock. Etc) for years people said Inglewood now with stadium, maybe...? But it isn't there yet

Would rather not wait 5 to 7 years. No. But I have to move out of the house in renting and so far have found nothing

And I am planning to buy. It's the question on Rush into buying in a crazy hot month or wait it out and rent a year and take time to look.

Thank you so much! I did find a rental for $1995. But still seems like taking $100k to $120k out of stocks and adding to a $400k mortgage makes sense. If I could find that place.

For what? Now I'm more confused. Ha. I feel that as rates go up, banks make it easier to get loans so now people would buy and prices could go up more.
