Hi

Being a first time investment property owner can be a bit overwhelming.  I would suggest putting a team together to Shepard you through the process.  I would start with a couple of SF or a duplex.  I would also have a good and trustworthy realtor to help with finding the right properties.  Also, consider a professional property management company to save you a lot of headaches.  Would be happy to cay!

@Sean Ade Good morning -

The KC metro has a number of good areas for MF.  There are a few in the historic neighborhoods around The Paseo or not far from the Country Club Plaza. I would recommend getting an agent that specializes in MF to help with the process.  Please reach out if I can help.

@Juan Camilo Lovera Welcome to US investing. I would recommend researching the areas of the country that look like they could meet your investment goals. I plug for Kansas City here. We have a vibrant OOS investor community and there are still good deals with if you would like to BRRRR or looking for turnkey. One very important aspect is putting your team together. I would recommend @Caleb Brown for an RE agent in KC.  And if I can be of any assistance, please feel free to reach out.  Best of luck!

@Debbie Mayerson.  Turnkey is certainly a good and viable investment strategy, especially right now. There are material shortages, as well as labor challenges.  If you are interested in looking at the KC market, I would suggest @Mike D'Arrigo.  He does a great job with the rehab and makes it quite easy for the OOS investor to purchase a rent ready property.

Please feel free to message me if you would like to chat.

Best,

Melinda

@Drew Wood  I agree with the areas mentioned in the other responses.  You can also go outside the core KC area.  I have seen good values in Warrensburg, Higginsville and Grain Valley. While these are smaller areas, the rents are strong and you can find a property that may suit your needs and budget.  Please reach out if I can be of any assistance.
