A question to put out there, recently I've been considering go back to school and getting a degree in real estate investing.  I know it's not  required, but I was wondering if it gives you some creditability with buyers / sellers.  So I'm putting it out there to see if most or any or no one has a degree in real estate investing  and if they believe it to be beneficial or not?  Please assist with this dilemma . Thank you.

hello biggerpockets,

Just a little intro, My name is Brian from Michigan. I'm a skilled tradesman working 7 days/ 12 hours plus. This life doesn't leave much time for family.  So I m finally in a position to try to get financial freedom.  My first house I paid off in 4.5 years (177k). I built my current house and rented out the previous house. My renters have been there 10 years to date.  So now I've been researching liens and deeds and going to try my hand in this area of investing.

I would check on where you got your information.  All the research, I have done there has never mentioned about any mortgages.  Yes you will be paying for the year they are auctioning off and will be offered first future taxes until redemption period is up.  Which you should pay so as not to cloud up title insurance if you have to foreclose.
