I heard that construction cost are outrageous and not worth it. Is that only with multi family homes?

If I'm looking to find a multi family home and fix it up what loans are best for me? I know I want to do either a FHA or conventional loan but don't know if the bank would be willing to lend on a fixer upper house. Private money lender? Just want to know the best options and smartest route.

If I have all my finances in order what should be my step by step process to wanting to move to Florida somewhere near Tampa in a year to do a house hack, hopefully a fourplex. I’m 22 just graduating college and going to go live at home for a year to save money. I want to do it all the right way and as smooth as possible. I’ve been listening to podcast and reading books as much as I can so I can learn. I just want to make sure I don’t buy the wrong deal and get put into a hole.

When should I start looking for a multifamily unit for when I move in about a year or more and have to rehab it as well. I am from Ohio looking to relocate to Florida and buy my first home/house hack and want to get the most out of it as I can and also do it the right way!

Is it smart to buy condos and rent them out??

I am 22 years old. I plan to move to Florida in some area probably near the Tampa area. I am going to move there in about a year and plan to buy a multi family home preferably a four Plex and house Hack it. Is there any advice that anybody could give me on what I should do exactly. Should I find a beating up older fixer upper and then work with that or should I find more of a turnkey property? Obviously I will run the numbers and make sure everything works on the financial side before I do anything but I am just thinking about what would be best for me in the long term and most profitable as well. I really appreciate your guys help!
