I just finished my 75 hour NY REA course and would like to get some input from agents (particularly in Upstate NY) as to what the best brokerage is to start my new career. I’ve heard good things about Birkshire Hathaway but haven’t heard much else.
Thanks everyone for all the help! So what I'm gathering is that it depends on the part of PA I'm investing in. I'm looking in the Scranton area. Anybody have any experience there?
Looking for information about whether PA is landlord friendly or tenant friendly. Any information would be greatly appreciated!
@Bobby Montagne Thank you for the info!
@Helen Kirk my question was assuming that you were to refinance under your name instead of your LLC. I was just trying to find out the process if you had to refinance under your name and then try to get it transfered to your LLC. Sorry about the confusion.
@Helen Kirk Would you have to refinance again to try and get it put under your LLC?
@Michael Ablan 6 months doesnt seem to bad. I used to live in Philadelphia NY when I was stationed at Fort Drum. How is the rental market up in Watertown? Ive been looking a little up there too.
@Adam Schneider I'm looking to do this with a buy and hold rental. My thought process is that i can buy a house worth maybe 200k at say 100k as a forclosure. Then when i refinance the 100k through a traditional loan I will have about 100k of equity to be able to tap into to do this again. Does this sound possible? This would be my first investment property so Im not sure of the ins and outs.
Im interested in using a private money lender to purchase a foreclosure. We'll say for roughly 100k. once i have a loan theough a private money lender, can i refinance using a more tradition style loan and lender such as a bank? Thanks! Matt Spaulding
