@Jim K. Disagree completely. Whoever has this mentality will eventually fail at life. You may have your run for a year or even 10 but it will eventually catch up to you and you will fall hard!

@Thomas Ray Saccato. I use to always think that the west valley area was just a myth of how bad it is in Utah. My wife is from Utah and I’m from Idaho. Long story short we lived in west valley in those new apartments by winco

And boy oh boy is it a different world in west valley. We could only handle 6 months before we moved to Lehi.

@Mayerling Mejia will she provide you with deals? I paid 10,000 for a mastermind with cashflow tactics. With their program I’m looking to have close to 16,000 passive income in 5 years give or take a few years. They also do a ton of other stuff for me like help with llc setup, tax setup, holding co setup. Way worth the price of 10,000. What does this lady provide for 10,000?

@Mace Moseley @Bruce Woodruff Mace, you need to have more confidence in yourself! Too young to be taken seriously? What a load of garbage that is. There are 19 year olds at my office that will run circles around veterans ALL DAY LONG. Look professional, make sure you know how to communicate, and learn learn learn! If you know your stuff and you know how to communicate people will will take you seriously and love your passion, energy, and hunger that others don’t have. You always need to use your strengths. You are 19 you were born with a tablet and social media in your hand. Use that! You’re not too young to be taken seriously and you need to have a way different attitude than ya I agree I’m too young to be able to succeed at real estate! Get with a brokerage that will take care of you and inspire you and then go to work. Grind grind grind and you’ll be successful!

@Daniel Molina Sounds right to me. I see a lot of threads on here where the OP says I want to quit my job to pursue real estate investing full time. I’ve never understood how that makes any sense at all.

@Kirsten F. Getting your head above water as a real estate agent is a tough one. My first year I sold 1 house and closed with 2 buyers. Before this I’ve started 2 other businesses that are going to this day and are successful. I can honestly say becoming a successful real estate agent has been the hardest. Each deal you do as long as you do it correctly compounds down the road. Usually by year 3 you have a profitable business. I knew going into real estate it would be rough and had enough cash reserves to keep me afloat for the time being.

Can someone please help me understand why anyone would quit their job and pursue real estate investing full time? I genuinely am curious because in order to invest in real estate you need money. I understand there are many ways to get money but why not start a business or get a degree that makes 200,000 + a year and then invest in real estate? If everything is done correctly with enough sacrifice one could be financially free with enough passive income in 10 years to love the dream. Heck even without sacrificing that much you could still invest in real estate and be free in 10 years. What am I missing?

@Jacob O'Malley You didn’t mention Idaho or Utah. Idaho real estate is still somewhat affordable if you know what cities to look in.

Utah has everything you could dream of as far as out door activities go and finding friends/groups outside of the bar scene. The real estate market is ridiculous though. Ogden is still somewhat affordable but no one wants to live there and some central/southern places in Utah are affordable but no one lives there compared to the other cities.
