Quote from @Tiffanie Figueroa:

What you're doing sounds interesting.  What areas in Texas have you been active in? Have you considered San Antonio?

We own over 15,000 units across TX under similar structures in primary and secondary markets. Several assets in San Antonio as well!

Hey BP Fam!

I’m looking to connect with multifamily owners, developers, brokers, and operators in the Sacramento County area.

I work with Ascenda Capital, based out of Los Angeles. We focus on taking market-rate multifamily properties and turning them into quality, affordable workforce housing — the kind of places everyday people like teachers, nurses, and first responders can actually afford. We’re passionate about serving the “missing middle” — folks who don’t qualify for subsidies but are getting squeezed out of the newer, high-end developments.

While we’ve been very active in Texas, we’re now shifting our focus to key California markets, and Sacramento is high on our list.

Would love to connect, trade insights, and explore how we can collaborate or add value. If you’re active in this space — let’s talk!

Looking forward to meeting more of you.

Hey @Ryan Lewis,

Not too sure what an MLA is—happy to learn more.

Regarding raising equity, we typically partner with high-net-worth individuals and, occasionally, institutional funds, depending on the deal. My focus is more on acquisitions, so fundraising isn’t really my area of expertise.

As for new development vs. redevelopment/renovation, we primarily focus on renovations. However, we have done several BTRs. Our strategy is centered around increasing NOI by providing affordable housing, which allows us to improve cash flow from day one. It's a unique approach that traditional buyers don't always use, but it's highly lucrative.

I’ll send you a connection request so we can bounce some ideas around. Looking forward to staying in touch!

I'll send over a connection request. Would love to learn more

Hey BP family! Excited to connect with fellow multifamily owners, syndicators, developers, and investors in CA, TX, and the Carolinas. I’m with Ascenda Capital, where we own and operate over 15,000 units—and we’re always looking for more!

I’m here to expand my network, share insights, and help those looking to break into the multifamily space. We’ve tackled deals from 100 to 600 units, leveraging tax-saving strategies to reduce property tax expenses while also creating affordable housing for local communities.

Would love to connect, swap ideas, and see how we can help each other grow!

Hey Kristine, I'm sorry that happened. Unfortunately, a majority (not all) of these internet gurus are just looking for ways to make $ before actually helping people. I'm more than happy to connect and chat for free
