@Ronnie Wilson

After digging around on the tax assessors website, I didn't find out if the house was up for tax lien sale, but I did find that there are about five other houses on that street that were up for tax lien auction, didn't sell, and are now on the repository sale list. BAD SIGN!!!

@Mike Watkins

I've actually been communicating with the grandson. He wasn't able to tell me what all needed to be done, but that he knows its in really bad shape. I looked on Zillow, but will try Redfin as well.

I have been marketing for wholesale leads for about a week, and I finally got a hit. Unfortunately, the house is out of state . I'm in Atlanta, and the home is in Harrisburg, PA. Here's what I do know:

1. The home is paid off

2. The owner has not lived in it in years (she's now in GA), and it's in "poor condition"

3. Homes in the area have recently sold for 57-94,000

4. According to tax assessor's site, they are two years behind in prop taxes.

In spite of what I do know, I am unable to properly assess the home from a distance. What do I do?

Matt, on my county website there is a page for the Tax Assessor. In this part of the website, you can search property records, pay your own property taxes, and see the upcoming tax lien sales. Play around with your county's Tax Assessors page, and you should be able to find it. Hope that helps!

Hi Nikki!! Welcome to BP! I am a fellow newbie, and also purchased Cody's System prior to finding BP. I actually found this site three days before my 30 day money back guarantee was up, so I called and cancelled (I know that's terrible). Have fun with the process, and wishing you the best of luck!!

Hi Kimberly! Welcome to BP! I am new as well, and have been enjoying every minute that I spend on this site. Everyone here is so helpful and quick to share what they've learned along the way, so don't be afraid to ask!
