Hey @Paulo Langner,

Welcome to BP!  I wanted to invite you a meetup this Wednesday at 12p at Henry's Tavern in the Shops at Legacy Plano. There are usually some experienced investors there. They might be able to point you in the right direction too. Best of luck!

I am not very familiar with the apartment market in Carrollton. But from what I do know I do not think it is as good of a market for apartments as it is for SFR.....

Hey @Michael Terkel

Welcome to BP, I wanted to invite you to a meet up this Wednesday at 12p at the Shops at Legacy, Henry's Tavern this time.  There is a group of RE investors in the Collin County area who meet up once a month, usually we have a good turnout with a good mix of experienced investors. I hope to see you there!

Hey @Francois Frigon

@Chris Soignier is right about the difference of 4 doors and 5 doors being the line for a commercial loan instead of a residential.  This does not limit the number of mortgages you can have at the same time though.  You should be able to purchase up to 5 properties with a mortgage before it becomes more challenging.  After the fifth property you may need to work with a mortgage lender directly instead of a big bank like Wells Fargo, they have more options and can help getting past the 5 property threshold.  You are limited to holding 10 mortgages at the same time though, once you hit 10 you will have to go commercial.

I hope that makes sense.  Let me know if it doesn't and I can clarify

If you have any other questions let me know.  I also know some good insurance agents in Texas for your home owners insurance.  Best of luck on your new property!
