@Guy Gimenez and he will take away the 1031 exchange. Also heard he wants to add a federal sales tax on all home sales. Not sure if its gunna fly tho.

@Sannibel Carter if you are looking to do some of your own flips volunteer with Habitat for Humanity. I'm not sure of their age restriction but I have volunteered with them and received some hands on training. Good luck keep learning, learning, learning and never be afraid to ask questions or for help.

@Anna Newman don't forget as soon as you have that license you are required to inform them you are a licensed agent.

Hi Adam I am an agent with Coldwell Banker in Simsbury.  I took the test in January of 2016 I don't know if much has changed in the year and a half, but I am willing to help you out. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact me.

Take the grittier one. There is no perfect deal, you will be waiting forever for it. I'm a Realtor® in Simsbury and you won't find a "deal" on any of the few multifamily in this area. Drive around Torrington and Winsted or New Britain and look at the good neighborhoods and then find multi families close to or next to those neighborhoods. That would be your best bet.

Hi Ashleigh,

I am a Realtor® in Connecticut and am getting my reciprocal license in Florida this summer planning on moving to the Jacksonville area in the fall. Why do you think the beach area homes are not taken care of? Is it the weather, the residents, the quality of the builds or a combination of all the above? What areas do you see as up and coming? Any input would be appreciated.

Welcome to BP Michael. Real estate is all about marketing so you have a great start. I'm a Realtor in Connecticut but am getting my reciprocity so I can move down to Jacksonville in the fall. Would love to connect with you.

alot of people will tell you that you need to be full time in real estate to make any money but that's not true. I make great money with my full time job so I do real estate part time. My office has floor time on the weekends so I do it then. Its all what you put into it. As long as you can find time to build a client base and network with people you will do ok. Its a lot of money to obtain and keep your license but if you can sell, list or rent a house or two in a year it will pay for itself.
