Besides the timeline of flip vs new build you also have to consider the municipality. If you can go in and do cosmetic work on something that's already done it saves the headache of permits, surveys, sewer, water, electrical etc. The bones and utilities already exist so that saves you from having to deal with government officials who just want money for every little thing you do on a new build.

Chris there is mention of one in Manchester, CT that has just started up. Check under Connecticut real estate. I can't find it right now but it was in the last day or two mention of it.

Phelim, Oz is correct it has to be done in person 66 hours of classroom. There is also one in Southington done Tues & Thurs nights or a Saturday 9-3 class. They start multiple times a year. I took mine starting last May on Saturdays with Dick Rubino who is an excellent teacher and a wealth of knowledge. Good luck. Just Google CT real estate schools and you will find a bunch.
