I'm living in and own a 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bath home that I'm considering renting. I've noticed on compatible listings that the same model home is listed as and has 4 and 5  bedrooms.

The house has 2 areas that can easily be converted to 2 legal bedrooms by just adding some inside walls in fact it looks to me by the way the house is laid out it may of originally had more bedrooms and someone remodeled it to where its at now for whatever reason.

I'm thinking going from a 3 to 5 bedroom would significantly increase the rental value.

Wondering what would be the pros and cons to converting it I'm thinking the taxes will go up and should I definitely pull a permit or not ?

I'm by no means an experience investor but I do own 1 Section 8 rental and it's been great wish I could find more but my area South Florida is just so overpriced I just haven't been able to find anything that even comes  close to deal worth buying

Yeah, the numbers are crazy. You have to think there will be some government intervention.

Seems we have a failed broken system here in US ?

I live in south Florida where home prices are super inflated and deals are almost impossible to find trapped here because of my business.

My house is payed off and worth about 350k I own one 3/2 rental paid off worth about 220k.

Considering deals are so hard to find I kind of gave up looking  feeling  frozen not sure what to do next

any suggestions  ?
