Hey BP family. Im closing on a 2 flat in chicago in a few weeks and just found out one of the tenant is section 8. This is my first CHA tenant. I have 5 units so far that are market rent or non CHA. What steps do i take after closing to get CHA to pay me, what paper work do i need to present to CHA/tenant? Please advise on dealing with CHA in chicago. Thanks

Hey Patrick. I know the city is forcing its residents to get water meters what can you do. I have a three flat and my water bill average about $130 to $200 every two months. Single family $400 for 4-5 months non-metered and about $30-$40 every two months meter. Also check to see if you have leaky toilets and dripping faucets.  

Congrats. I love to buy  the duplexes. If you don't mind what was your closing cost?
