Just fyi, I grew up in the restaurant business, and then leased restaurants in 3 of my 4 pieces of commercial properties. They are probably the toughest business to make succeed in this country. Something like 6 out of every 10 restaurants that open end up closed within a year. I highly suggest renting to someone that has previous restaurant experience and not some guy fresh out of culinary school.

Thanks for the laugh. Gotta love the misinterpretation of the internet. Going by the thread title I thought ya meant if someone broke your single pane window, should ya not bother to fix it.

@Gualter Amarelo You need to take other things into account. Like properties being grandfathered from current tax rates. Mine is. Everyone around me is paying 3k or more in property taxes. I pay 1400. Got to love antiquated laws.

Very Badly. Its about 100k off on its estimate on the house Im living in. Also says we have a fire place. Lived here almost 30 years. Never had a fireplace. Says we have detached garage. We have no garage. Says we have 4 bedrooms. We do (but no way they could know that) so they are including the den as a bedroom. Says we have 1 1/2 baths. We have 1 and 2 1/2 baths.

Just got off the phone with the agent. Its supposed to be listed at 1.9 mil. Trulia has it listed wrong. Shes called them to fix it. They don't fix it. Says its an endless circle.

I just have no faith in em. Everything Ive heard them say is  just common sense stuff if one stops to think about it. Granted, common sense seems to be a dying thing these days, but just the same.

If you have to take classes to learn common sense, then you aint going to make it anyways.

Not to listen to gurus who speak common sense to prove their knowledge.

Refer to above.

Refer to above.

Think that covers it.

BTW, just fyi, 14k tax isnt unusual, its just with residential that it seems weird. 14k is about what I pay for my commercial property.
