I house hack my primary and rent room by room. I have had some great tenants and others that are not so great. I feel that it is really important for tenants to be compatible for it to work out... How are you screening tenants for your house hack?

Just wondering how fellow house hackers out there are writing up their leases for room by room house hacks. How do you define what space in the house is their rented spaces vs common spaces? Anyone every implement a household practices contract... for example quite hours after 10pm - 6am, designated parking spots, house temperature has been a big one in my house hack (some complain about it being to cold when the thermostat is at 70). I would appreciate any insight, as I am trying to improve my current/future house hacks.

Anyone out there with House Hack Horror stories? I have a couple... any insight would be much appreciated as I plan on growing my portfolio in the near future through House Hacking!

Love the fire, hold on to it and don't let it dwindle! It can be tough, but hold onto a growth mindset. The most difficult hurdle I went through was analysis paralysis. Just remember your first deal is not going to be the best deal! I am on the same journey! Best of luck to you!
