This meetup is a networking event for anyone living in (or visiting!) Toronto who invests in real estate anywhere in the US. This is a regular event, usually once per month on the 2nd Monday. No pitching or selling, just a venue to share experiences and resources for those of us actively investing in the US. Anyone interested in learning more about investing in US real estate is also welcome, of course.

We had 25 people attend last month and the consensus was to maintain the loose agenda, and each month choose a different topic to focus on and have a different investor present a deal they've done or are working on.  This month's agenda:

6:00 - 7:15 Welcome Mingle and general discussion

7:15 - 7:30 Quick Introductions

7:30 - 7:45 Managing rehabs (lessons learned)

7:45 - 8:00 The Real Deal (This month:  a short term rental example)

8:00 - 9:00+ Mingle / Discussion

Future meetups are generally 2nd Monday of each month. They're planned as follows:

Monday, Dec. 10

Monday, Jan. 14

Hi Everyone, if you plan to attend, please click the blue "Attend Event" button at the top of the page so I can keep track of numbers.  There's about 25 people that have registered now (some through email).  The best way is always through biggerpockets.

On another note, for those who have signed up to the google group that I use to send a couple reminders each month, please do not "Reply All" when responding to me and do not email this group directly.  The sole purpose of this google group is to send a couple reminders of the meetup each month and it is not an advertising platform. There is always a time at the monthly meetup to present opportunities to the group.

EMERGENCY LOCATION CHANGE!!

I just found out today that The Currach Pub closed their business.  I've changed the location to be in the same area of town (more-or-less across the street) so now it will be at:

I will try to leave a note on the Currach Pub door for anyone who doesn't see this.

For the 16 people who registered on biggerpockets, please drop a note in this thread so I can gauge how many people caught this notification.  I'm expecting 20 people - it should be a good crowd to kick off the fall season!

Summer is almost over so that means it's time to set another meetup! There are almost 70 people signed up to the google group that we use to remind everyone of upcoming meetups. Let's pack the place! :)

I expect it will go from 6 until about 9. The location was chosen to be easily accessed from the subway (it's just a few minutes walk from Sheppard subway stop) and close proximity to the 401.
